April 27, 2022

Dear Spelman Community,

Thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s Booster Vaccination Drive. Please remember to upload your vaccination records to Etrieve
as soon as possible. As the college prepares to resume study abroad and faculty global travel engagements beginning January 2023, up-to-date vaccination records are essential and will determine eligibility for this program.

Important spring semester dates to remember:

April 27: last day of spring semester random PCR testing for students, faculty, and staff.

Spelman Staff: Starting May 16th, we are making available supplies of rapid antigen at-home COVID-19 test kits to staff who continue to work on campus during the summer.

Pick-up location and times are as follows:

BDT Suites Private Dining Room

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday for the duration of the summer.
No appointment is needed.

Using your supply of rapid antigen at-home test kits, you should take a self-test once a week in the comfort of your home and at a time of your choosing. Do not administer the self-test in your campus office. Each COVID-19 Rapid At-Home Test Kit contains easy to follow instructions for use at home with accurate and quick results.

Do not report a negative test. If you test positive, please follow these instructions:

  • Do not come to campus. Isolate at home and wear a mask when around others.

  • Notify your supervisor of your absence and report positive results to the COVID-19 Operations Manager Yemi Brown, PharmD: ibiyemibrown@spelman.edu

  • Contact your medical care provider if COVID-19 symptoms persist.

As always, thank you for all you do to keep yourself and others safe.

Kind Regards,

Yemi Brown, PharmD
Manager, COVID-19 Operations
